Our school

I remember the day when I came to “Beit-Ohr”. The Sunday school met me with open arms and welcomed me warmly. I felt that they accepted me the way I am, took me as a personality but not just watched superficially as it used to be in regular schools.

In ancient times a school meant a link between the teacher and the pupil. In “Beit-Ohr” there is such a special and very dear link between teachers and pupils, the link that usually is in a family or between very close friends.

I appreciate what is taught and what is told to us by the teachers of the Sunday school. The most important is to remember, honor and respect one's forefathers. That is why Jewish history, tradition, rituals and holidays are of great interest for me.

“Beit-Ohr” enabled me to learn and study much, it opened the door to the history and life of Jews for me.

I got many friends here. For me it is very important that there are people who understand me and share my opinions.

My teachers also taught me another attitude towards people.

I was surprised with the kindness which they give children.

I am also glad that I receive much knowledge and study Hebrew in “Beit-Ohr”

My granny told me that some time ago Russian Jews could not study their history, religion, language openly. My granny is happy for me and glad that me and my sister can study and receive what she in her time couldn't.

I am sure that “Beit-Ohr” has united people whose souls are close to each other's and who are related with each other not only by blood but also by their hearts.

I wish to believe that “Beit-Ohr” will exist for many years.
