April, 30. 1997 We marked 135-anniversary of our school.

135 years ago in 1862 there appeared High School No.6 in St.Petersburg, it was named after Prince Alexei and it was under the Emperor’s family patronage. Many famous people graduated from the school, such as the poet of the “Silver century” Sergei Gorodetsky; musician and composer, the founder of Russian conservatoiry in Paris Nicolai Cherepnin; a celebrity of Russian medicine, professor Voyachek A. and others.
A festival, devoted to School’s Birthday, started with the performance in which both junior and senior students took part. Different periods of school life were staged; the songs were sung; the poems were recited written by famous people, those who had graduated from the school. After the performances the floor was given to the honoured guests who had been studying and working in our school. The spectators were happy to greet Vladimir Tatosov, a popular actor.
