March, 12. 1997 The Prime-Minister of Israel Mr.Benyamin Netanyahu during his official visit to Russia visited the International School of General Education and «ORT-Gunzburg» Centre in St.Petersburg.

On entering the school Mr.Netanyahu and his wife were greeted by junior pupils with flowers. Before the solemn ceremony the visitors had a brief talk with the school headmaster Boris Notkin, «ORT-Gunzburg» Centre director Vladimir Dribinsky, Russian and Israel teachers. While visiting the school and Centre the Prime Minister's attention was drawn to computer techniques for learning Hebrew and history of Israel. The project «Navigating the Bible» in ORTNet was demonstrated.
In the Assembly-hall the Prime-Minister and his wife were heartily greeted by the pupils and teachers of the school and by numerous quests - representatives of the City authorities and Hebrew community. After the short concert of the pupils the Prime-Minister made a brief but touching speech addressing to children. He said that he was delighted with everything he had seen and in particular with computer technology.
Mr.Benyamin Netanyahu and his wife Mrs.Sarah Netanyahu gave to the pupils a valuable present symbolizing the unity of Jewish people. The meeting ended with the solemn execution of the hymn of Israel.
