May, 25 More then 300 graduating students of Jewish educational institutions were presented with copies of computer album "St. Petersburg's Jewish Community. Three centuries of history", edited by ORT-Gunzburg Petersburg Center.

On May 25, 2001, at the last day of the school year, the ORT-Gunzburg Petersburg Center organized a special action initiated by WORLD ORT.

The idea was to congratulate the graduating students of all St. Petersburg Jewish educational institutions on behalf of World ORT. Another aim was to make the students fill themselves as a part of a Jewish world and show them the way to study about their roots using this multimedia, which gives much more opportunities for users.

The students of 9th and 11th forms were presented with copies of the computer album from a double CD-ROM "St. Petersburg's Jewish Community. Three centuries of history", issued by ORT-Gunzburg in 2000. Now the Center distributes the second edition of the album sponsored by Jean de Gunzburg, descendant of Horace de Gunzburg, one of the founders of ORT.

Five Petersburg's Jewish schools such as ORT-Gunzburg (#550), Beit Sefer Menahem, Jerusalem (#274), Shamir (#224), Migdal Ohr (girls' and boys' departments) as well as the Institute of Judaism were involved in this action. The ORT-Gunzburg also provided school libraries with additional copies to the larger propagation of the album.
