I am a teacher of the Russian language and literature, I have graduated from Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute named after Hertzen. For seven years my professional interests are focused at studying and teaching Jewish literature
In 1993-1998 I worked in the Institute on Problems of Jewish education.
I work on teaching programmes and methodology of teaching Jewish literature in Jewish classes of the former USSR. These programmes and methodological works, some of which have been published in magazines “Jewish school” and “New Jewish school” are born and verified in the process of practical work in class.
In August 1999 Pedagogical Club “New Jewish school” published two of my experimental teaching supplies: “Real forgiveness” – a reading book for the 2nd form of a Jewish school and “Three wishes” – for the 3rd form. By the beginning of the 2nd quarter the book for reading in the 1st form will be published. At present I teach Jewish literature in day school “Beit-Menakhem” and in Sunday schools “Lamed” and “Beit”. I am a member of Pedagogical club “New Jewish school”.
Besides working with children I am interested in teaching Jewish literature for adults.
I teach and study at Petersburg Jewish University, in 1995/96 I studied at Melton Center (Hebrew University).
