The project ORT-JET-2000 In September 1999 World ORT Union developed the project “Jewish Education through Technology” (JET-2000), calculates on some years. It has a goal to unite Jewish schools and Jewish educational centers of countries of CIS and Baltic with the help of new information technologies. This project will realize the joint educational projects, exchange of experience, implementation of controversies on vital topics. The coordination of activity under the project implements in a resource center ORT-Gunzburg in St.Petersburg. The magazine “Children of the Earth” is a result of joint efforts of the participants of the first design stage JET-2000: the teachers and students of a Dnepropetrovsk female pedagogical collage “Bet-Hana”, Odessa specialized comprehensive school I-III stages №94 with the learning of hebrew and Samara Municipal educational establishment of general education school №42. We hope, that the magazine will become a periodical of the Jewish educational establishments of countries of CIS and Baltic, we invite to fruitful cooperation.
