The seminar was organized with the help of the Center and educational specialists by the order of the University for Pedagogical Mastery. Teachers, heads and methodo-logists of city schools and district educational departments took part in this seminar. After the plenary meeting participants were divided into two sections. The 1st section, headed by Vladimir Dribinsky, ORT-Petersburg Director, discussed the utilization of information technologies in secondary school. The 2nd section, headed by Yury Malyshev, the chief specialist of Kirovskoe district educational department, considered potentialities of information technologies in the primary school. Teachers of the school #550 reported about the utilization of IT for study music, drawing, literature, history, physics, foreign languages, informatics (project activity in LEGO-LOGO environment, multimedia and web-design, school desk-top publishing, «mixed» projects). Teachers and methodo- logists from other schools summarized their experience in using of information technologies. The seminar activities first were translated on-line through the Internet.
