December, 2-6 There was the Hanukkah celebration week in the School # 550.

On December, 2 all Saint Petersburg Jewish Schools prepared the wonderful concert in the Zazerkalie theatre. The School # 550 student group showed the colorful sketch devoted to the Hanukkah holiday on the concert.

The Brain Ring game was for two days in the Hanukah week (on December, 4 and December, 6) in the School. The game devoted to the Hanukkah holiday and Israel state was organized for 5 - 11 grades by School Israel department. The main prizes for winners were sweet doughnuts (traditional Hanukkah meal), Coca-Cola bottles and big cake.

There was the student traditional candlestick (hanukkya) competition in the School. The winners were awarded with sweet prizes.

On December, 5 was the Hanukkah performance in the School Conference Hall. There were a lot of children with their parents and grandparents on the concert. The honorary visitors were invited to the celebration. Boris Notkin, the School principal, Marina Sorokina, the ORT-Saint Petersburg Acting Director, Shmuel Polischuk, the Israel State Embassy first secretary, Leonid Smirnov, the JDC Saint Petersburg Representation Head, Semeon Parizhky, Co-director of the St. Petersburg Jewish University, were among them. They put out traditional Hanukkah candles, offered up a Holiday prayer and congratulated on Hanukkah holiday.
The 'Keshet' School Chorus sang special holiday songs, primary School students performed dances.
To performance end all audience, honorary visitors and young actors sang the 'Hatikva' Israel State National song.
