According to the agreement with the Israeli Ministry of Labor, World ORT together with the Jewish Agency (Sochnut) were organizing "professional qualification improvement" courses for the future repatriates to Israel.

First half of these courses takes place in Russia and Ukraine ORT Centers in Kiev, Moscow, St.Petersburg, Ekaterinburg and Samara. Second half takes place in Israel.

Within the project the regular courses (computer skills, English language, mathematics) carries out in the ORT-Saint Petersburg Centre.

In June, 26, 2003 the "Pre-aliah" project first group was turned out.
The project participants were presented with the ORT certificate and memorable gift - "Saint Petersburg Jewish Community. Three Centuries of History" computer album.

The courses within the "Pre-Aliah" project will ease the period of social adaptation for the new repatriates to Israel.
