In the ORT-Saint-Petersburg Centre two years work under the project has come to the end with creation of a photo album and a multimedia CD-ROM (in Russian and English languages), devoted to drama, full of expectations and disappointments period of a life of the Soviet Jewry in 1924-1938.

The initiators and the sponsors of the project are World ORT and president of World ORT sir Maurice Hatter.

The project was realized by the ORT-St.Petersburg Centre jointly with the Multimedia-studio "Mart" and "Petersburg Judaica" Centre.

Materials of exhibition "Red Zion" organized by "Petersburg Judaica" Centre, collection of photographs of OZET from the Russian Ehnographic Museum, results of reseach of documents from ORT archive in London and archives of Saint Petersburg were underlied to the album and the multimedia CD-ROM.

In the album are the photos which are not only documents of an epoch but also outstanding samples of photoart.
Many of the presented historical documents are published for the first time.

The CD-ROM contains the film created by means computer graphics and animation, a virtual exhibition and the electronic catalogue of photos.

With materials of the project, including not entered into the album and the CD-ROM, it is possible to get acquainted on the project site.
