2005		 There was the official opening of the Saint Petersburg Jewish Community House (YESOD), where World ORT opens Vocational Training Centre (VTC).

Leaders of Jewish federations of USA, heads of Jewish organizations, representatives of local department of Jewish organizations, representatives of local, regional authorities, representatives of culture and art, mass media were invited to the opening ceremony.
Shelley Fagel, WAORT Vice-president, Sonia Gomes, Head of International Liaison Department of World ORT, and Avi Ganon, World ORT Representative in Russia, Belarus & Central Asia, took part in the ceremony.
Within the opening ceremony on the special exhibition the ORT-Petersburg Centre presented ORT activities.
