The St. Petersburg Central district schools principals attended a seminar on «Information Technologies in a Modern School» prepared by the ORT-St.Petersburg Centre together with the School # 550.

Many interesting topics such as: «Using Network Technologies for Productivity in Administrative Tasks in Schools», «Essence and Stages of Technological Organization of Educational Processes», were covered at the presentation. Mrs.Sorokina, the ORT-St.Petersburg Centre Acting Director, and Mr.Notkin, St.Petersburg School # 550 Principal, presented a lecture on «Information Space in Modern Schools».

The attending principals not only listened to presentations, but could also see how the School # 550 brought to life the concepts and ideas introduced on the papers. Principals visited open lessons and saw how students and teachers use Information Technologies for varies subjects.

At the end of the seminar round table discussions took place. Teachers from the School # 550 shared their experience with the attending Principals, and talked about problems which arise in schools in this new era of Information Technologies.
